Years ago I purchased the tray in the background in Stockholm, Sweden; the Delft vase was a gift to me and the bottle in the front I purchased in Lisbon, Portugal.  The patterns of blue and white inspired this painting.  This was a challenge to create as there are subtle differences in the shades of blue and white.  The detail on the porcelain was difficult to paint but I am very pleased with the results.
